Nest Building 2

Today I went back to see how the long tailed tits were getting on with their nest-building, not knowing how long it might take.  Well they were still very much at it, and in fact I read that they start nest building earlier than many other birds precisely because it takes them so long.  (This might interest you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tx8rJJfZ5Ak)  One of you told me they use spider webs to hold the nest together.  The rest is built of moss, feathers and lichen.  You can clearly see the lichen here and that was probably spider silk in the shot of a few days ago.

It's been another fabulous blue-sky day.  Really I could do with a month of this weather, couldn't you?

Happy Tuesday evening  xx
