Almost spring now
I met a friend for breakfast in a cafe near her home. Not brunch, real breakfast at 9am. It was lovely - friendly staff, nice old reggae tunes, quiet, and delicious food. Spent the second part of the morning gardening - by which I mean weeding and tidying all my pots - I’ve got over 40 of them. Here I’ve got my osteospermum on the table, and I’m sitting down cutting off dead and twiggy bits. The warm sun is shining through and it feels good.
Late afternoon I saw ‘The Last Showgirl’ at the cinema. I enjoyed it very much - I thought it had a lot to say about ageing, sexism, and the precarity of living on the margins in the US
