Delft rug

Finally today I got some seeds planted and into the greenhouse. I have started with some that should germinate in cooler conditions, lettuce, B-road beans, peas. It does feel quite a lot warmer in there so it will be interesting to see when they get growing.
One of my market friends, Maggie, is a keen crochet crafter, and when she came to the end of a piece I asked her if she might be interested in finishing one of my UFOs. There are several lingering in my cupboard! She said she would love to, and so I gave her the partially made Delft. It is luxurious merino wool which no doubt cost me an undisclosed sum, but I find the repetitive movements of crochet cause me some hand pain.
Well some weeks later, here it is! Very soft, surprisingly heavy, and delightfully warm.
I have another project which I will give her as ‘payment’ for her work!
