teasel

I've long enjoyed seeing dried up teasel heads in the fall and winter time. They keep their form, standing tall and proud and rather prickly looking, instead of wilting and drooping and decaying like so much other vegetation.
But I have never seen one in bloom!
Now I am doubly impressed with teasel :-)
