A humble simple man who was always kind.
He made the greatest grandfather for our boys collecting them from school or clubs. Supporting them in swimming galas, school productions or producing enough plants to run a very successful plant stall at school fairs. He loved his allotment and the friendship he made were numerous, but often with women with cakes!!

A boiled egg, an apple pie and the daily crossword was his simple requests in this last few weeks.

This afternoon he passed away. I was glad that 2 hours before I’d told him what a great Grandan he was and how lucky they were to have him. We had a laugh at a silly joke and I told him he was going to a good place because he was simply just a good man.

We’ll miss you Dan but your parting gifts of allotment knowledge and kindness will stay with us forever.
