Wow, what an afternoon, after a couple of hours of very little evidence of any bird life of any sort 3:30pm seemed to spur them into action, 3 shorties and I think possibly 3 different barn owls triggered by "4:30 Owl" made some fabulous passes, the earlier ones somewhat hampered the camera due to the hitherto unknown phenomenon of heat haze over the field! Deep satisfaction came from some brilliant passes when I was stood alone by my gate as everyone else had trotted off further up the field. I think the main image is my favourite, but it's a tough call so you have some extras to enjoy too.

A little heartened that maybe some decent people in the world will start to restore some order.
