Roule
I made cheese, this time a garlic and herb roule. It has come out well, a good firm texture but spreadable and very tasty! And it made a good amount, from 2litres of milk. I used Jersey full cream milk!
Still on a food theme, I made steamed steak and kidney pudding for supper. That’s not something I have done for many years and it made a nice change. There’s quite a lot of the pastry left over, as I don’t think we eat as much as we used to! However, I know some hens who will be very pleased to help with that in the morning.
To make up for all the eating, we had a busy day in the garden. Rob did nest-box maintenance, and I finished pruning the roses and continued with some weeding, as the ground is in good condition at the moment. Tomorrow, I really must get a few seeds planted!
