Joe Tree Day (plus one)

Read all the notes, missed the day. But here we are, a day late with a tree growing out of a roof in the Dutch Fort in Jaffna. Also, I believe, valid for a derelict week blip..
Excellent day, started with a trip out to Point Pedro, the northernmost point of Sri Lanka, just 25 miles from India. So now, a dozen trips since we started coming here, I think we’ve covered it all…..
Pre-lunch walk around the Dutch Fort - such a contrast to the one in Galle. In Jaffna, it’s effectively empty, maybe ten people and us. Lots of the ramparts etc still exist, beautiful clean lines an absolute photographic delight.
