Millennium Falcon
Backblip 6/7
We visited Disney's Hollywood Studios for our park today. This is the last full day of our vacation. I had never been to a Walt Disney World park before, despite living in Florida for about a year and a half.
This photo shows the exterior of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, a highly interactive ride simulation set inside Han Solo's Millennium Falcon. It's practically a video game. People sit inside a vehicle and are given tasks. I was the left pilot (I controlled left and right), Jill was the right pilot (she controlled up and down), and we had two gunners and an engineer. We accomplished the mission.
This was the best ride here, even better than Rise of the Resistance, which people say is spectacular. I thought that was great, but Smugglers Run's interactivity was more fun.
We also rode Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (my 429th coaster), Tower of Terror (different from the ones I've ridden in California and Paris), and Slinky Dog Dash (my 440th coaster). We watched Muppet Vision 3D twice. It's going away soon and was the last major thing Jim Henson worked on before he died. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster also will be rethemed to the Muppets later.
This park is highly interactive and was lots of fun. It rained the whole day, so wait times weren't too bad, plus we had Lightning Lane for a few rides. We also stayed in a resort hotel, so we got early admission and transportation to the park.
I'd love to go back and experience more of Disney World. I guess I should start saving up.
