Downtown

I decided to go for a walk in downtown Halifax this morning before meeting the travel/social group for brunch. The sun was shining and most of the time I was out of the wind, except when I would cross a street and the wind was coming up from the harbor.

Stephen was expecting up to 15 people for brunch today. Then 22 people showed up. It was sunny, the streets and parking lots are dry, and people are wanting to get out again after a long, cold winter. Tomorrow afternoon there is a group going to see the Bedford Players, I think he said there are 34 people attending. Tuesday morning, there is a breakfast planned for Dartmouth.

When I signed up for the brunch today I didn't know what restaurants Alan had booked for March. I am back at the same restaurant I was at today. It's not my favorite restaurant, but that doesn't matter. It's the people you are with.

When I came home this afternoon the landlord and her carpenter were here to measure for new kitchen windows. The new ones will be lower than the existing ones, so I will be able to see out of them without standing on the step stool.
