Oh, Mr. Bluebird

We were back to no a commitment day. The sun is shining and our temp is at 68°F. Cannot believe the temps will plummet down to 24°F by Sunday morning. I began my day looking for a blip. There was not bird one at the feeders. But the neighbor’s bluebirds were more than happy to pose for me. I love listening to bird song. Maybe spring is really near. Hubby and I both got some little jobs behind us. He ordered our Va. state pass, cleaned up a bunch of newly found junk files off his phone and helped me with laundry. I read every Blip journal, deleted many of the 7,000+ junk e-mails from my laptop, caught up laundry, etc. Our fire department had their annual spring dinner. Hubby picked up two dinners, an Oreo cake (looks like our local bakery product) and extra chicken salad. He always jokes that we donate money so they can buy and prepare the food and then we buy dinners. But they provide such a wonderful volunteer service to our community, we are glad to do our part. And we will get at least 2-3 meals from each dinner box. Having forgotten about the dinner today, I made a big crockpot of pork spareribs this morning. Now we have at least three meals in the bank. And we will be at Lauren’s baby shower/luncheon tomorrow. Our only other outside activity today is 5:00 pm Mass. We may get in a nap before we leave. Wishing you a sunny weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “The soft mellow warble of the bluebird, heard at its best throughout spring and early summer, is one of the sweetest, most confiding and loving sounds in nature.” - Thomas Roberts
