Joe Tree Day

To celebrate Joe Tree Day I took a picture of the birches across the field. I was so happy when the tree harvester left these fine specimens for us to admire.
I'm also really happy that Joe Tree had the idea, and the skillset, to set up Blipfoto. As far as I know he has moved on now but many parts of his original concept have remained to make this place so valuable to those of us who use it.
Many thanks also to the team who took over and stabilised a rather wobbly blipfoto after the money ran out.
The lurgy still has me in it's grip so after going for a brief lie down after lunch the next thing I knew was it was 5 o'clock and getting dark!  
Incidentally, yesterday I wrote about how the word "lurgy" more-or-less came about because of an episode of the Goon Show. Today I found a more detailed explanation....
