Victorian Bath House, Bishopsgate

Today's silver lining was lunch with my friend, Michelle, who was once, quite some time ago, a client of mine.

I walked from Waterloo across to where we were meeting at The Ivy City Garden Restaurant, thinking that I was sure to find something worth photographing on the way, but in fact it was on The Ivy's doorstep that I came across this building.

What you can see from the Bath House's website but not from the surface is just how amazing it looks underground. Regrettably it seems focused on events, otherwise I think I would like to have eaten there sometime.

As it was, I went into The Ivy, which was terribly noisy, but happily the people at the next table left just as Michelle arrived, leaving us to lunch and the pressing business of working out when we'd last seen one another and discussing everything we've done since then.
