Autumn in New Zealand

Is much like Summer, very hot..!

Today we moved around the bay to Motueka which will be used as a base to go further. More on that tomorrow. Once we were settled into our motel we drove up to Kaiteriteri where we booked a boat trip for Tuesday. The beach was very busy, as was the parking. My main Blip was a small board surfer just skimming across the shallows, It is a mix of a long exposure and a couple of overlays. It's nice to be in colour again!

Postcard: My postcard is a selection of images taken on route during a visit to Rabbit Island. It was the first time we came across a Weka during this trip, needless to say it was like the seagulls and hanging around the picnic areas! The car has been Blipped at least 3 other times by me. It has been enclosed by fencing now and a bike rental company has set up in the field behind it. I hope it stays. The larger shot shows the beach, it was the busiest we have seen it but we do normally visit well away from summer. 

I think we will have a few more days of summer.
