Living my dream

Joe Tree Day

The Cabbage Tree in my garden, which I love and dislike in equal measure.

I love its form. I dislike its dead leaves which scatter all over the lawn, and if not cleared up they tie like twine round the insides of the lawnmower.

Elsewhere I finished cutting back the pittosporum trees which I started a couple of days ago. The view from the truck has opened up again as a result.

And I made a Romano cheese, which is the full fat version of a Parmesan. Stocks are low (of that particular cheese).

I wonder if Trump and JD's TV extravaganza in the Oval Office has succeeded in uniting the rest of the world (bar Russia and Hungary of course) behind Ukraine? Even the apologists most diplomatic leaders have been solidly behind Zelenskyy today.

I feel desperately sorry for the citizens of the US having to watch their elected leaders behaving like spoilt brats and bullies. I still think they are children masquerading as adults... And Trump was wrong: it did not make great TV. It was excruciating.
