When I collected Tess on Wednesday I found out that her 2nd birthday was today.  Its so good to know the exact date she was born and quite an easy date to remember.  When we got back from our walk I phoned the lady at the farm where I got her from just to let her know how it was all going as I know they had a bond.  She was very pleased to hear how Tess is settling in and of course she wished Tess happy birthday.  I promised to visit in the summer.  So today's walk was at Rannerdale as I knew it would be quiet there.  Tess is still quite nervous at meeting new people and dogs.  She barked once at a little Patterdale Terrier, that's the first time I've heard her bark.  Two neighbours popped around later bearing treats and cards for the birthday girl.
