Warning!
I hope no one has a weak stomach, but an eagle has to eat too.
After work today I went for a walk at Sullivan's Pond. Just after I got there the crows starting making a fuss about something and the ducks all took off towards the middle of the open water. I looked up and spotted an eagle. I turned around and hurried to get back around the corner of the pond, hoping I could get a shot of the eagle. By the time I got there her had landed on the ice. I didn't see him make the catch but she had something with feathers on the ice. I continued to walk all the way around the pond, about 20 minutes, and the eagle stayed there on the ice eating the whole time. So lots of photos from various points.
We have a rainfall warning out for overnight tonight, 20 - 30 mm expected. The temperature will stay above freezing all night. Rain is forecast to end around 8 am tomorrow. And it will stay mild all day. My plans for tomorrow will depend on what it looks like outside in the morning.
Late this afternoon I decided to call Jean and talk to her about Marilyn. Apparently Marilyn complains to Jean about me because I don't/won't go running over every time she says she would like something done. While I was talking to Jean, Marilyn tried to call me. When I didn't take her call, she tried to call Jean. I don't think it occurred to her that Jean and I would be talking. Marilyn did tell Jean that I suggested she hire a home care worker to do all the things that she expects friends to do for her. And she told Jean that I should pay for it! Marilyn likely has a bigger monthly income than Jean and I combined. I waited a couple of hours before I called Marilyn back. She just wanted to talk about the weather, she's worrying that her basement will flood. That's all she does now is worry about this and worry about that. I am getting tired of listening to her. Maybe I should remind her that gardening season is coming and she is risking losing not only a friend, but her gardener too. Marilyn has also been complaining to Jean, saying that I always want to do things my way. Her tendency to be a narcissist have become more pronounced since her stroke.
