Sunshine......

.... came softly through my window today.
I met up with the old Fermoy's floristry team for coffee & cake this morning. Sara-jane & Pete are getting married in August. They've been together 27 years.... Jackie's hubby is into cooking so he's been challenged to make an acceptable orange polenta cake for our next catch up in April. We had a slice in the cafe at Parke & all agreed it was tasty.
Bought a couple of warm pasties in BT, one for Mum's lunch, half each for hubby & my lunch. It was pretty good.
Glorious sunshine so after lunch I pruned and tidied the front garden. Mainly rugosa roses so very prickly... Ouch! Ouch! I now have a builders bag full of prunings which I want to load in my car in the morning and take to the cycle centre. That should be fun!!!
In between the garden clear up I dropped hubby up the pub, & collected him.
Made a Spag bol for dinner. I made a big batch of meat sauce backalong, then froze down in portions. Been critised for my cooking tonight... "That's not a proper meal" Last night's homemade chicken & vegetable soup with crusty bread was'nt a proper meal either apparently.. I've asked him what he wants to eat & he does'nt know.... The cook is on strike.
