The cold doesn’t really hinder the rowing, sure the hands get cold, some are ‘gun shy’ about getting their feet wet on the launch and recovery but by and large it’s great fun, great exercise and I find it relaxing.

An e-mail from HMRC today came as a bit of a shock, it seems we are to pay more income tax this year after all.
