Dreaming of mountains

I went to the first day of the Banff Film Festival at Theatre Severn yesterday with Mel and Ali and it inspired me to get the France book out today and think about mountains. I’m off to day two tonight and there’s a Courtney Dauwalter documentary so my feet will be itching even more.

I got so fed up with the Redwood Centre protester yesterday that I went to have a conversation with him. Sadly, people like him cannot be reasoned with and it just made me even more angry. The police came later but I think both parties know that nothing can be done.

I’ve learnt that he’s a renowned local conspiracy theorist and right-wing troublemaker. He was even investigated by the BBC for his part in the death of a local man during covid due to his spreading of conspiracy theories. Needless to say he was back again today but thankfully I was out and about in south Shropshire for most of the afternoon.
