Just relaxing

The weather forecast was a little pessimistic but we’ve had some beautiful blue skies at times.

I walked down into Funchal after I’d managed to buy my “Faust” rehearsal tickets on the awful Royal Opera House website.  As I approached the Presidents garden two very plush limos pulled out, immediately followed by Lucky, the Presidents dog, who clearly wanted to go too. 

Funchal was busy. The little cabins are set up, and all is ready for the forthcoming events. I had a coffee at Uaucacau and, after an explore of the culinary treasure trove just behind the Cathedral,  I had the limpets at Paula’s Bistro.

Too lazy to walk the 3km to Praia Formosa, I caught the bus, strolled a while on the coastal path where the light and warmth were idyllic. I’m seriously going to miss this……
