Here They Come!

Our little spring ballerinas, the magnolias are beginning to dance in the gray branches.  

It was such a good day! After a few reasonably successful hours on the new computer system, we took a walk downtown for lunch, dessert and a run through the farmers market to pick up some salmon for dinner. The high was 81 degrees, so it was a joy to be meandering along, bright new flowers at every turn, tiny green and red leaves unfurling, birds auditioning for coveted starring roles in this latest extravaganza. Oh it was grand. And our sandwich was delicious. We even found a comfortable table in the crowded restaurant. As we continued on toward the market, we were lured into the new chocolate place just to see how they had adapted to the space, and ended up with a mocha and pastry that insured we will be back. Some of us. Soon. A week’s vacation in an afternoon. It didn’t rain, or snow, or flood, or scorch, and I am so grateful for the loveliness of it all.
