Guts
This is not my actual old computer, but pretty darn close. Our local computer store sliced this one open as a display. All that stuff is behind the screen, doing whatever it does. Today was the big day: I gained possession of my new MacMini and all its peripherals. It is a whole lot smaller and faster and better than what you see in the photo. Or so they say. Data transfer was done by a pro, and it was very complicated with so many photos and such old software. I was able to unpack the whole thing and get it plugged in at home. I havent had the chance to play around on it yet, but I was able to turn it on, which I think is a huge step in the right direction. I’ll be testing Lightroom tomorrow, then Photoshop—new versions that hopefully are intuitive enough for me to at least do the basics.
It was a beautiful summer day in the garden. Hard to believe this is February.
