Hexham bridge…..

A shortage of staff today so plans up in the air.
So, once I’d got everything fed , as it was slittering on with sleet, I decided to, what the hell, I’d go to the Claas dealership’s open day at Hexham.
It always fascinates me on the drive down how the farming landscape changes along the way. There is a big skelp of not a lot once you cross the border at Carter Bar. Sheep and soldiers country at Otterburn.
Made it in 2 hrs door to door. Had a good look round all the tractors and machinery I’d like but can’t afford then grabbed a complimentary coffee and hog roast roll before I left. Went for a wee walk along the Tyne at Tyne green before heading back up the road with the compulsory stop for a photo at Carter Bar to send to daughter at Uni to wind her up and let her know I was on a road trip without her !
By the time I got home , fed all the cattle and bedded all the sheds cos Kev wasn’t here to do it , it was 8 pm.
That’s what you get for having half a day off !
