3rd day camping at Paynes Prairie Preserve

on Bolen Bluff trail. We were able to ride our bikes on this trail, which is an area where sometimes the wild horses and bison can be seen. We did see some horses- very close-grazing on the trail, but didn't look wild in the photos, unless you closely examined their hooves, unkempt manes, etc. Beautiful woods at the beginning of this trail, more like New England than South Florida. There are many different type plant communities in this park, with their own wildlife. We also canoed on the lake in the morning.
