Lake Eklutna

We took the whole family for a nice drive followed by a mountain bike ride along the shore of Lake Eklutna.

Andrew has borrowed a small Triumph motorcycle from our Blip-buddy Les, for me to ride while here. On the trip out, I struggled to keep up with Andrew on the winding Alaskan roads as he forged ahead on his BMW GS1200.

The weather at the lake was cool and there was a slight breeze and some clouds.

Everyone observed a black bear that was standing by the trail except for me because evidently I rode past it oblivious to it's presence. They have also been sighting moose... I however have observed a marmot.

The weather is supposed to sour so our kayak trip to Whittier is postponed until Thursday or Friday.
