A sweet treat

I don’t have a sweet tooth but this afternoon I really fancied a cup of tea and one of these. We saw them being made in the market hall in Rotterdam. They were much bigger and eaten warm though.

I was surprised to wake up at 7am this morning. I was wide awake, - the surprise was I’d slept all night without waking once which is most unusual. However we are both quite weary today. I’ve cleaned up and sorted washing, prepped a meal for tonight, made a shopping list for tomorrow as the boys are coming till Saturday, paid #2 daughter our share of the family holiday deposit and paid #3 for our tickets to see Nathaniel in Goodnight Mr Tom. I hope he’s learning his lines as there’s a lot.

I then carried on with the Colombia book and read some of the Olivia Laing as I had no time to read in Rotterdam. We were very busy tourists there!
