On the road

From the car window travelling to Trincomalee. Habarana is jungle and elephants : as we move up to Trinco, we start to see lots and lots of rice fields , and stalls at the side of the road sell ‘the best curd in the country’ according to Pasindu, the driver. Also, more Hindu temples & mosques as we move into Tamil country. For a long time, Trincomalee was out of bounds for tourists: we managed one night many years ago during a cease-fire and we were captivated by the beaches, palms and blue blue sea.
