Lovina Dolphins

Luckily, as it turned out, I had to get up really early, before dawn, to be at the beach for 5.55 for the dolphin watching trip. Lucky because in my room last night it was like lying beside a throbbing engine and once awake in the middle of the night, sleep, even with ear plugs, was impossible. I thought it was the AC compressor outside. I even turned off the AC. Turned out later in the day it was the one from room 4 above. However, they gave a 'for one night only' stay in an empty room and tomorrow I'll shift for the last 3 nights.

The boat trip was lovely as the sun came up and seeing the mountains, and diesel.power plant! Took an hour to get to the dolphins. Not sure it's a good thing to do, the boats chasing the dolphins, and because it's low season, not many. The other folk on the boat swam. Well pulled along on a trapeze between the outrigger and the boat. I think we broke every full in the dolphin code publicised at the beach. I preferred the dolphins at Monkey Mia, WA.

Back just after 9.30 for breakfast and then I lay by the pool trying to catch up in sleep and finishing 'Complicit'. I also swam. It closed over about 1 but no rain. It just got very humid.

Late afternoon I went for a stroll along the main road and back down to the beach. Sat on a beanbag with a beer and watched the moon sunset, too many clouds.

Dinner in a different Warung, was ok but I think I preferred last night. The Dutch couple from Amed walked past but didn't see me.

If eaten early so it was an early night in my temporary, and quieter room. It's odd as it's attached/part of what appears to be an empty house with fully furnished lounge area and kitchen, and stairs. But it is quiet!
