Amed to Lovina
Up early tho see the sunrise. It was worth it. Walked along the beach towards Jemeluk Bay. The boats were out so it was easy. Mt Agung looked amazing as the sun came up through the clouds. Then I went for a swim. The sea was so calm and so warm. It was only 7 a.m. Thought off these other dawn swimmers at Portobello and Shandwick Bay.
Decided to go across to Café Rimba fir breakfast. Wise choice, I can see why it's so popular. Then off to meet Peter for the journey north. He'd brought his wife for the ride.
The route hugs the coast so lots of nice views but it got darker and darker on the jungle side and it started to rain as we arrived at the hotel, very to early, but luckily the room was ready.
The hotel is reminiscent of Bumi Ayu in Sanur, individual bungalows in lush gardens and two pools.
After unpacking I waved down to the beach and booked a snorkelling to an island on Friday and sunrise dolphins tomorrow. Strange how just hand over Ru 1 million to someone on a beach. After a snack lunch
it was another 450k for a trip on Wednesday.
The rain having stopped had a swim in the large pool then back down to the beach for a sundowner on a beanbag (no sun!) and then a meal in Warung Apple, under a tenner.
Back in the room with a v noisy AC compressor watched Sunday's 'Call the Midwife' and tried to blank out the engine noise.
The other downside is the Swede from Ubud is staying here.
