Tuffy

I thought it would be fun to compare our Tufted Titmouse to the Black-crested Titmouse that I saw in TX.  They sound almost identical and look very similar with some key differences.  And both are beyond adorable.  See the TX version in Extra.

I met a friend of mine up at the wildlife refuge for a walk this morning.  We were both somewhat surprised at how icy the trail still is, but we managed to navigate around the worst ice patches and had a thoroughly enjoyable walk with 25 species of birds.  Great fun and so nice to be outside for a few hours!  Back at home, I decided to pop the hide up and spent another enjoyable hour watching the activity. 

Jax had a big case of the zoomies this afternoon and it was a relief to be able to let him zoom around the yard rather than in the house.  He wore himself out apparently and is now laying next to me snoring.  He's got such a good life.
