Siskin #31

Today I had the company of my husband and since he had never been to Sculthorpe Moor nature reserve that's where we decided to go. 
On arrival we were told that there had been no bramblings or redpolls spotted this winter which was a bit of a disappointment as it has always been so reliable to be able to see them there. 
But there was plenty of other species to see including quite a few siskins, although I find them quite difficult to photograph as they feed quite high up in the trees. Lovely to see though. 
Also missing from this year's list was the Tawny Owl. Every other year it has been sat at the entrance to its nesting box, but this year for some reason it has not been sitting there as usual, just coming back at night. 
We had a lovely few hours in the sunshine. 
Last day tomorrow and the forecast is for more rain, so not sure if I will get out at all :(
