The allure of my
purple pajamas was not
sufficient today!

Waiting for my kettle to boil, I popped out the back door to see what birds were about this morning. They were all keeping their distance. They bopped about my neighbourhood but only a stranger came in for a look at me.

I see two mockingbirds keeping each other company but still no singing. They flew around the neighbour's yard but came no closer. They seemed to like the spiny ocotillo.

A dove was solo, moving from one perch to another. It liked the light pole and my palm tree.

A mysterious stranger flew into my desert willow tree, but wouldn't turn around to look at me. I'm thinking it is some kind of warbler, but I only got the one shot and not enough to identify it. That yellow is very eye-catching.

I will be a homebody today. It should be a warm one by afternoon.
