At the other end of the trough we now have a purple Iris Reticulata in full flower, with at least 5 other blooms opening between it and the blue interloper I blipped on Sunday ( you can just make our the blue of that one top left)
I haven’t had this deep plummy purple before so it’s a nice change even if it has a strange (Dutch?) name. Some that come up in the garden are a deep bluey purple and we always hope to have a revisit from the elusive pale blue Clairette. They are all nice.

A much cooler and more showery day today, after Pilates we actually walked on to Woodbank for our lunch in the rain. Dry but blustery on the way back. At least we have these flowers to tell us that Spring is on it’s way!
