Morning View
This is one of my favourite pictures.
The September before last I saw it in the shop and fell in love with it. I pointed it out to Miss E who happened to be in and sighed because I couldn’t justify spending £45 on it.
I love the colours, the frame, and the tree reminds me of Sycamore Gap which is a special place for us.
It was sold the next time I was in and temptation was removed!
Imagine my delight on Christmas Day that year when I opened my present from Miss E and discovered she’d gone back in the next day after school and bought it for me. With her own money. It was hands down my favourite present - not only do I love it, but it means so much that Miss E went to so much effort to buy it for me.
This Christmas - only a year later! - Mr K put it up so it’s the first thing I see every morning. And it makes me soooooooooo happy!
Mr K went up to Telford today to visit Auntie I. His cousin Mr I called yesterday to let him know she was in hospital.
Mr K said it was lovely to see her as ever and, on the whole, she was her usual fabulous feisty self.
Hopefully we’ll all get up to see her soon. As ever, it’s been too long.
A quiet Sunday for the rest of us. The usual surprise that they’re going back to school already!
Miss L has a week of mock exams starting tomorrow so naturally Mr O was round for the day. Chemistry revision all the way apparently!!
I cooked them sausages, mash, Yorkshire puddings and vats of gravy for dinner. Being a good wife I cooked enough for Mr K to have some when he got back.
And I watched him eat it while I tucked into a delicious bowl of Weetabix. Lucky me!!!
