Hexham today

I drove to Hexham to collect my new specs today. I took a quick photo in the car before I drove back, in extras, also in there a photo of the two garments recently made which I wore as an outfit. The pinafore is really comfy for sitting in the car. I'm not that happy with the neck of the top but it's ok and I'm happy to wear it. 
The main photo is a tree in the gardens behind the abbey. I don't know how long it's been uprooted but it's obvious the cutting up has begun. When I first saw it from a distance I thought that someone had made and animal body shape from it but it was just the way the side branches have been sawn off. There's some lovely wood there which hopefully will be upcycled into something wonderful.
