The cat's the only cat who knows where it's at
Day 4
We offered him a ride in the trailer but he politely declined.
Spent the morning walking over sunny hills, before catching a lift to the station, taking the train to London, cycling across the capital in rush hour using panniers and a trailer for the first time, getting a little lost/awed by the vastness, eating dimsum for dinner, catching a train to Harwich and finally jumping on a ferry at about 10.30pm.
At first, we (unknowingly) tried to enter the ferry illegally but after a guard told us we'd be arrested we quickly joined the passport control queue. I'd misheard and thought we were being chastised for not wearing helmets so I quickly put mine on. Felt very safe for the 20 metres to the queue. There we found ourselves in the middle of a huge biker group which at first was cool, then a little smokey.
Had a little walk around the ferry before watching a fascinating (seriously) documentary on policing pickpockets before hitting the hay.
