Farewell Viburnum
My pretty Viburnum tinus split in half in Storm Eowyn and this part has been hanging its head, getting lower and lower as days went by, blocking the path to the compost heap etc.. The flowers were pretty but something had to be done.
In a flash of inspiration I remembered Lisa, who led the wreath-making workshop back in December 2021, and I thought she might be able to make use of the foliage.
I'm delighted to say that she accepted the offer. She came round this afternoon armed with saw and secateurs and removed all of this plus a fair proportion of the other half. She is particularly pleased because her own plant is still very small and not yet suitable for cutting.
Apparently it keeps fresh well and is useful for arranging so I think I'll cut some of the blossom for the house.
Thanks, Lisa, for helping dispose of it and for the bouquet of spring flowers you brought.
