Layers

Beautiful day today.  We did some pruning in the garden in the morning - a pleasing job, especially once we tackled the smoke bush, which had got very leggy (but is now very stumpy!)  Jamie came to fill the holes back in in our path (where he and Ian have been channelling out our new soakaway).

After lunch, Tim and I had a lovely walk down to the seafront, via quite a circuitous (and beautiful) route.  The light was fabulous.  I was surprised to find my long lens on my camera when I took it out of my bag - but it worked quite well for this shot, and capturing the layers of sea cliffs.

Pretty exhausted by the time we headed back home.  Made it back up the big old hill, and Tim made us a tasty coffee when we got back in.  Had a peaceful afternoon after that - and struggled to stay awake in the evening!
