20 Years On

It is exactly 20 years this week that I received a $5,000 grant to outfit myself with a new digital camera and then to make plans to spend a month in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland in July.  What has followed is 20 years of photography from all around the world.  I've decided to put together a collection of my favorite monochrome images of the past 20 years.  It started out to be just one book but with over 400 images, I've decided to do a five-volume set beginning with nearly 100 photographs from my three trips to the Outer Hebrides. These are screen shots of the front and back covers.  The cover image is from 2023, the back from 2005. It took me over a year to wade through literally thousands of images to narrow it down to 400.  Volume one goes to the printer this week then it's on to volume two, portraits.
