No photos today apart from the shop so I decided to Blip Miss E’s drawing from her art exam the other day.
They had to draw buildings based on a photo they took with them.
She says everyone else’s were better. I told her that was clearly bollocks and I’m in awe of her!!
I walked down to work today and - despite Mr K and Miss E being in town - I walked back up too. Whoop whoop!!
Just after I got in there was a knock on the door and a hi-vis clad man said he was from Open Reach checking some fault.
He pointed at Mr K’s dad’s car parked on the drive in front of Marshall.
“We need to get to that manhole there. Someone’s parked their car on it.”
Er
“That would be me. Because it’s my drive.”
Twat.
I moved the car and went to make my tea.
Then there was another knock at the door.
Him again.
They need to come back and dig up the drive. But it’s OK, they’ll put it back as it was. Great!!!! Our neighbour was with him, presumably the one with the fault.
I made myself a wrap for lunch and had just sat down when there was another knock at the door.
Oh my fucking God!!!!!!
He may have heard me shout that out loud as he was very sheepish!
I needed to sign a thing to say I was OK with them doing the work of we were out.
I said I was but pointed out that if we were out chances were the blue car would be parked over the manhole.
So now they’re ringing me to let me know when they’re coming. We’ll see!
Miss L went into town while I was at work and then messaged to ask could they go to Milton Keynes on the bus. Anything that doesn’t involve me driving to Milton Keynes is fine by me!
