Riviera on Trent

This is The Old Market Square in Nottingham, with the Council House (City Hall) in the background. Every summer during the school holidays the square becomes a sandy beach, with deck chairs and a paddling pool. Also, out of shot, are a children's funfair and various candy and food stalls.
Very popular and great fun! The kids love it, just as much, I am sure, as if it were the true seaside and a real beach. Great for families that cannot afford to take a holiday away.
