Carlton Bank

This afternoon we took the kids for walk up to the top of Carlton Bank. It's quite a big hill, with stunning views when you get to the top. James and Amy set off at quite a pace, with James determined to beat Amy to the top... and he did by quite a way!

It was quite breezy when we got to the top, which I'm not sure this photo captures fully. Getting down was easier than going up (I'm getting old I think!) and yet again James was first down.

When we got home James and Amy made chocolate brownies and shortbread with Aunty Gill, which we all enjoyed with a cup of tea. I think we are all going to sleep very well tonight!
