Warning
Today's extra shows the entry from Woodlands Park Road. Walkers and runners can freely walk or run on the flat concrete pipe. Without any warnings. Which is quite reasonable given the topography. Although, some moderately sized trees have fallen during storms since we have been in the area.
The warning sign (placed a couple of hundred metres past the entry to Exhibition Drive) cannot be missed. And there is another near the entry from Shaw Road. There no warnings about the tracks that link the two pipelines, and on a recent walk I met an ill-equipped group going down as I was going up. A simple sign to indicate that what starts (at both ends) as not particularly challenging becomes very challenging especially after heavy rain.
I saw a woman with her baby on her front, on Exhibition drive allowing the wee one to touch and stroke a massive Rata tree on the side of the drive. Fascinating that humans seem to need trees and to see and touch them even at a very young age.
