Wiring!
Today's taskette was to remove some redundant switches and ventilation controllers from the village hall .... I had guessed about an hour ... more like four in practice!
You can see the space on the wall where the old controllers came from and the two switches under the trunking have gone too. Most of the time was sorting out what was powered from which breaker on the distribution unit.
So, village hall wiring, in a building from the late 60s with various additions over the years - not all labelled very well. If you have ever worked on such a set up you'll know how careful I was having to be.
We have more than a fair few redundant lights, heaters and ventilators about the hall so probably a lot of old wiring could come out and make things easier for the next person to do anything.
The real purpose of the exercise was to clean up and paint the walls - that went really well - even if we do still have a lot to do.
There is a birthday party in the hall tomorrow - so we get a rest :-)
