High tea!
It was such a beautiful morning filled with sunshine and blue skies.
The wind had calmed down, at least for today!
The washing was hung out to dry,
We went into Birmingham on the Cross City Line, to meet up with a couple of friends for lunch at Comptoir Libanais in at Grand Central.

Here they are at their wedding last July.
The food was lovely.
I had Aubergine Tagine with a side of couscous and an accompanying flat bread. Totally delicious.
Here is our friendly server pouring the Rose and Mint tea. A great art!
I have had to take painkillers the past couple of days, today being no exception. It was the first time I had been on the train since my op last November.
Grand Central was awash with people. I had forgotten how busy it can be, and Saturdays especially.
By 3:00pm we were on the train home to Four Oaks,
An interesting journey,
A load of Aston Villa supporters got on at New Street, only to hear an announcement that it wasn’t going to stop at Aston, due to it being very delayed. They all got off again.
It travelled straight through to Sutton Coldfield, missing out all the stops in between. As it arrived there en route to Lichfield, another announcement told us that it was then decided it would travel nonstop to Lichfield, missing out all the other stations, one of them being ours.
So a lot of us had to get off and wait for the next one up the line!
Our stop being the first one.
Once home again I went up the garden, where the tête-à-tête daffodils are now full of buds.
Lots of birdsong, and a feeling of just maybe Spring is ready to finally disperse the Winter,
I sat in the summerhouse with a book enjoying the beautiful warmth made by the sun pouring in through the windows, some of which need a good clean!
I hope everyone has enjoyed some sunshine and hints of Spring today here.
This evening will be choosing something to watch on TV.
We tend to record the ones we do like, and watch others via streaming services,
Photo of us all in extras.
