Bus Pass Walk - Wakefield

Backblipped for Tuesday 18/2.  Haven't blipped for ages - lost my mojo with not being able to get out and walk far due to the ongoing knee issues. Getting there gradually, but I'm an impatient patient! So today I joined the BPWs on a trip to Wakefield. A longish bus journey but fascinating route with lots of different styles of houses etc. Walked to the Art House and had lunch there - rhubarb based for some as the "rhubarb festival" is on this week. The carpet in the collage changed every few seconds via computer images - fascinating to watch. The Octopus like creature was in one of the hallways. We then walked over to have a look around the Cathedral. We found that there was a lunchtime concert in progress. A man playing the grand piano to accompany a wonderfully talented lady on the Oboe and Cor Anglais. A lovely respite from the biting cold wind outside. We walked around the cathedral afterwards - a stunning building. 3 cafes today!  Back on the bus to Bradford and great timing as the next bus was waiting as we arrived. A longer day than normal, but cafes and culture are always a good mix and I did more steps than I've done in one go in a couple of months.
