Blossom

The weather forecast for today was grim, but I don’t think it has been quite as bad as predicted, though it has still been wet, windy and wild. There was a bit of sunshine thrown in for good measure.

I started my day with a bit of work, then turned my laptop off. I pottered for a while, looking out at the weather and got myself ready for a run. I decided to go to the pop up bakery, so that was another distraction from getting myself out for a run.

I eventually got myself out, it was windy and wet, and was hard work. Towards the end of my route I was running downhill but straight into the wind, which was exhausting.

I got home to find that a pot of daffodils had fallen over, presumably too top heavy. That just added to my to do list, clean up the mess!

Quite late in the afternoon when it seemed to be dry, I ventured for a river walk, and picked up a few things for tea on my way home.

Tea was from a Roasting Tin book, with everything thrown in together. It was very tasty served with some smoked mackerel.

We had a quiet evening. TT was mostly setting up his new phone, and I was mostly dozing on the sofa.

This blossom is out along the river, and always appears very early.
