I Witness

Abstract Thursday ...

... Fractured Face.

We were up at 6 am this morning to get ready for my colonoscopy scheduled for 8:30 am.  Not that I got much sleep ... my Fitbit shows just over 2.5 hours of sleep ... sigh.

The reason for this is because of the awful prep.  My First dose of the Foul prep Fluid started at 6pm last night. And then the second dose was to be taken 6 hours before the procedure ... which meant 2:30am!  I stayed out in the living room so as not to bother Richard with my bathroom visits.  I tried to get some sleep but is was Fairly impossible.

The good news is the procedure went Flawlessly and the doctor said I wouldn't need to repeat for 10 years.  But I pushed back on this based on my own cancer history and Family colon cancer history.  So I get to repeat all this in Five years!

We were home shortly before 11:00 am ... and after taking care of my insulin pump I had a nice long, hot shower.  It was Fabulous.

After lunch I sat out in the greenhouse in my happy place ... with all the birds and squirrels.  I've put a couple of photos in my Facebook Feed ... a Dark-eyed Junco  and a Northern Cardinal in the swirling snow.

It Feels like it will be an early night for me.

Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting Abstract Thursday each week.  The above picture is how I felt all day ... Fractured.
