Catkins Growing

A couple of months ago I blipped some pussy willow catkins

that were still developing even though the tree had been bent over in a storm. Remarkably they are still growing and have developed into these fabulous greeny-yellow flowers.

Shot in manual mode, with settings that would give an almost totally black frame..then added a little low power flash to highlight the catkins.

Walked the dogs under threatening skies (extra) but thankfully we stayed dry.

Their humans arrived early afternoon (after a very scary landing in the gales  at Leeds Bradford airport) and after a very excited reunion they all left us .. peace has returned here..
